Virginia H. (Hester) Cooper

Mrs. Virginia H. Cooper, age 73, of Broxton, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at her home.  Mrs. Cooper was born on April 22, 1944, in  Broxton, GA. to the late Richard Virginia Hester and Beulah Frances Stewart Hester.

Survivors include: Daughter: Tammy and her husband Brian Phillips of West Green, GA.; Son: Tommy Cooper, Jr. of Broxton, GA. Mason and his wife Shannon Burkett of Fitzgerald, GA Sister: Jenelda Thornton of McDonough, GA.  Brothers: Jesse Hester of Stockbridge, GA, Billy Hester of San Antonia, TX.  Grandchildren: Cody and wife  Whitney Phillips of Broxton, GA. and Colby and wife Marissa Phillips of Valdosta, GA, Anna Burkett, Jacob Burkett both of Fitzgerald, GA. Great-grandchild: Cooper Cage Phillips of Broxton, GA.  Several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her husband: Tommy Leon Cooper, Sr.;  Father: Richard Hester, Mother: Beulah Frances Stewart Hester. and Sister: Voncile Tanner.

Family request In-Lieu of Flowers: donations be made to Mary Hayes School, Broxton, GA or Broxton Police Department of Broxton, GA.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 2 PM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Bounds officiating.

Interment to follow at Harrell Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
