Josh Courson

Joshua Dean "Josh" Courson, age 29, of Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Courson was born on November 12, 1987, in Waycross, GA to Angela Thomas Jewell. Survivors include: his wife, Chelsea Strickland Courson of Douglas, GA; two daughters, Paisley Spires of Douglas, GA and Ella Courson of Douglas, GA; brother, Kaleb (Denise) Knight of Douglas, GA; mother, Angela Jewell of Nicholls, GA; grandparents, Dan and Linda Thomas of Nicholls, GA; two aunts, Marsha (Barton) Walker of Nicholls, GA and Dana (Ira Fails) Thomas of Bickley, GA; uncle, Kevin (Michelle) Thomas of Bickley, GA; nine cousins, Evan Walker, Griffin Walker, April Worth, Tiffany Nolan, Madison Worth, Kendra Erven, Ty Thomas, Tough Thomas, and Tater Thomas. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Tuttle and Rev. Leroy Spivey officiating. Interment will follow at Roxie Mae Church Cemetery. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
