Leon "Mann" Kirkland

Mr. Leon "Mann" Kirkland, age 70, of Douglas, GA, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL following a brief illness.  Mr. Kirkland was born on May 11, 1947, in Douglas, GA to the late Curtis Colan Kirkland and the late Myrtice Harper Kirkland.

Survivors include: wife, Janie Ruth Paulk Kirkland of Douglas, GA; two daughters, Regina (Keith) Butler of Douglas, GA, and Melissa (Keith) Bazemore of Douglas, GA; two sons, Clifford (Cindi) Kirkland of Douglas, GA and Elbert (Tammy) Beasley of Douglas, GA,  three sisters, "Sweeden" Wilkins of Douglas, GA, Bonnie Stone of Douglas, GA, and Patsy (Larry) Spivey of Douglas, GA; one brother, David (Marlene) Kirkland of Douglas, GA; sister-in-law, Susie Kirkland of Douglas, GA; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dexter "Boy" Kirkland and Bobby "Cotton" Kirkland and three sisters, Geraldine Lott, Linda Kirkland and Shirley Kirkland.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Saving Grace Ministries, 1149 Dewberry Rd., Douglas, GA. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM  at Saving Grace Ministries with the Rev. George Carroll Paulk, Rev. Glenn Vaughn and Rev. Joe Vaughn officiating.  Interment will follow at Salem Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery with Sims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
