Even though our paths have not crossed in awhile I remember Evelyn as being a kind and giving person. I still have a blanket she knitted for my first daughter that was born in 1980. I worked at a local grocery store at the time and always enjoyed Mr. and Mrs. Rigsby when they came through my line. I know she will be missed.

To Raymond, his family and Eddie and his family, I want you to know that you will always be part of our hearts because you are part of our Granny Evelyn and Papa Bernie as we have always called them. They have always been more than a friend to us, they have been a second mother ( my mother even told Evelyn that she was giving me to her knowing she was about to die), another grandmother to Vickie, and when our grandson was born on her 91st birthday she said you know he is also my great grandson. Of course my reply was yes. So as much as I loved them I can't help but love you. Thank you for taking such good care of her when my health would no longer allow.
