Wilma Jean Batten

Wilma Jean Batten, age 69, of Nicholls, Georgia passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Memorial Hospital Jacksonville, FL. Mrs. Batten was born on February 26, 1952,  to James Cleveland  McCormick and Mary Sneed  McCormick.

Survivors include: Son, Jimmy Ray Batten, Jr. of Nicholls, GA, Daughter, Belinda (Stacy) Kirkland of Nicholls, GA, Sister, Mae Hewing Cole of Tallahassee, FL, Grandchildren, Khirstyn Morgan, Chesney (Skyler) Manac, and Rayley Batten. Great-Grandchildren, Remi Gayle Morgan, Liam Manac, Paisley Manac, Makinliegh Manac,  . She was preceded in death by: Her Husband, Jimmie Ray Batten, Sr.; Father, James Cleveland McCormick; Mother, Mary Sneed McCormick; Brother, James McCormick; and Sister, Lavearn Howell. 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 4:00PM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Merritt and Russell Joiner officiating. Interment will follow at the Mora Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 3:00PM to 4:00PM at Sims Funeral Home. 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of COVID-19, including masks and social distancing.
