W.L. Grantham, age 83, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Grantham was born on June 15, 1937 in Douglas, Georgia the son of the late Willie Grantham and Alma Lott Grantham.
Mr. Grantham was a local farmer and a member of Rocky Pond Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Grantham and Tommy Grantham.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Nadine Vickers Grantham of Douglas, GA; daughter, Lisa Diane Taylor of Douglas, GA; son, Wendell E. Grantham of Athens, GA; two grandchildren, Adrianne Wildes of Long Beach,California and Clint Wildes of Tampa, FL; brother, Danny Grantham of Douglas, GA; two sisters, Bobbie Jean Wright of Douglas, GA and Maude Merritt of Wray, GA; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 10am until 11am at Rocky Pond Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 11:00am at Rocky Pond Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Al Merritt, Rob Merritt, Kevin Merritt, Jimmy Sears, Kenny Sears, Chris Grantham.
Musical selections will be “Amazing Grace My Chains are Gone” and “It is Well with My Soul” on CD.
