Vivian Smith

Vivian Smith, age 83, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Smith was born on November 3, 1937 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Early and Charity Kirkland Lee.

Mrs. Smith retired from Federal Corset, was a homemaker and a member of Douglas Gospel Assembly. Mrs. Smith loved to fish, cook, read, travel but most of all she was very strong in her faith and loved God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Caroline Smith, sister, Norma Ann Bennett and two brothers, Kermit Lee and Quitman Lee.

Survivors include her husband, Maxell Smith of Douglas, GA; two daughters, Debbie S. Knight (John) of Broxton, GA and Linda Sprouse of Douglas, GA; two sons, Danny Smith (Cathy) of Douglas, GA and Mackie Smith (Teresa) of Pearson, GA; brother, Billy Lee (Levan) of Bickley, GA; 12 grandchildren, Brent Smith (Marnie), Dana Dunn (Jason), Jamaine Gieger (Lynn), Erica Gaskins, Kearston Gaskins, Griffin Gaskins, Holly McCallum (Matt), Cam Eaton (Marly), Brooke Evans (Stanley), Anslee Smith, Shawn Knight and Jason Knight; 19 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Peacock and Rev. Bob Powell officiating. Jason Dunn will give a eulogy. Interment will follow at Rocky Creek Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Knight, Shawn Knight, Cam Eaton, Brent Smith, Matt McCallum, Stanley Evans, Jamaine Gieger.
