Obituary
Pauline B. Horten, age 94, of Ray City, GA passed away on Friday, August 11th, 2023 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA following an extended illness. Ms. Horten was born on April 6, 1929 to the late Sylvester and Lillie Metts Benefield.
Survivors include: One Son; Wayne Horten (Jemima) of Douglas, GA, Two Daughters; Shelia Hilliard of Waycross, GA, Phyllis Cady of Marietta, GA, Five Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Ms. Horten was preceded in death by: Husband; Talmadge Horten, Two Brothers, and One Sister.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 14th, 2023, from 1PM until 2PM at Sims Funeral Home of Douglas, GA.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 14th, 2023, at 2PM, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Luke officiating. Interment will follow the service at the City of Douglas Cemetery Dixie Mausoleum.
Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
