Ovid Franklin O’Neal was born June 20, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida to Edith Louise Brooks and William Henry O’Neal. He returned to his Heavenly Father on May 3, 2021 in Ambrose, Georgia.

Ovid was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He later worked in the manufactured housing business for many years. His greatest love however was his family, and serving in the church. Those of you that know him well know that he loved sports. He played baseball in high school and was recognized as the Most Valuable Player his senior year. He also served as the Douglas Rotary President from 2010 – 2011.
