Nettie Jean Clements, age 79, of Nicholls, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Bacon County Hospital, Alma, Georgia. Mrs. Clements was born on January 14, 1941 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter to the late Aaron Anderson and Mamie Lee Taylor Anderson.
Mrs. Clements retired as a cook for Sumner’s Landing, Douglas, GA and Country Girl’s Café, Nicholls, GA and was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church, Nicholls, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Clements, daughter, Kathy Lutrelle Clements, sister, Christine Anderson Bagley and two brothers, Buster Anderson and Milford Anderson.
Survivors include three sisters, Betty Adams of Rogersville, Alabama, Maggie Hersey of Nicholls, GA and Nora Ann Burnam (Don) of Alma, GA; brother, Jerry Anderson (Thelma) of Nicholls, GA; two sister-in-law, Dolphine Anderson of Nichols, GA and Mary Alice Purvis Anderson of Nicholls, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 11:00am at Dry Creek Baptist Church with Rev. David Davis and Rev. James “Jimbo” Steed officiating. Interment will follow in Hall Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donnie Anderson, Mickey Anderson, Ricky Hersey, Luke Martin, Stanley McElroy and Christopher McElroy.
Music was provided by Susan Davis, Kay Steed and Shawna Carver singing “Sheltered in the Arms of God” and congregational song “Amazing Grace”. Shawna Carver played prelude and postlude music.
