Maxine (Starling) Oliver

Maxine Starling Oliver, age 85, of Hazlehurst, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020 in Hazlehurst, Georgia. Mrs. Oliver was born on May 14, 1935 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late William Amos Starling and Laura Bell Sears Starling.

Mrs. Oliver worked as an inspector for 33 years with Diebel Manufacturing, Chicago, Ill and was a member of Harrell Grove Baptist Church, Douglas, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Oliver, son, Larry Morris, four sisters, Nancy Irwin, Marie Burkett, Frances Tyner and Magaleen Lairsey and two brothers, J.W. Starling and George Starling.

Survivors include three daughters, Wanda Dale of Hazlehurst, GA, Peggy Briscoe of Northport, AL and Donna Porter of Northport, AL; son, Garry Upton (Wendy) of Tyler Town, MS; two sisters, Doris Cothern of Jacksonville, FL and Lora Jean Smith of Ft. McCoy, FL; brother, Talmadge Starling of St. George, GA; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 11:00am at Harrell Grove Church Cemetery.
