Grover Lamar Bryant, age 64, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Bryant was born on July 17, 1956 in Bacon County, Georgia the son of the late Emory Lee and Vassie Mae Williams Bryant.
Mr. Bryant was owner/operator of Bryant Paint & Wallcovering and was a member of Harvest Time Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Bryant and a sister, Elizabeth Whitaker.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Bryant of Douglas, GA; three children, Cullin Lamar Bryant (Crystal) of Douglas, GA, Kristy B. McLeod (Buddy) of Douglas, GA and Philip Cauley III (Melanie) of Orlando, FL; eight grandchildren, Nathan McLeod (Leia), Dylan Vickers (Aldrey), Jessica Smith (Blake), Zayden McLeod, Anna McLeod, Allie Powell, Kody Cauley and Madison Cauley; four great grandchildren, Joshua Ellis, Brayson McLeod, Skyler Smith, Jayden Cauley and Blakelyn Cauley; two sisters, Naomi Waldron (Gene) of Douglas, GA and Emma Jean Reightler (Wayne) of Douglas, GA; two brothers, Eulis Bryant (Virginia) of Jacksonville, FL and Larry Bryant (Cathy) of Kingsland, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 2:00pm at Harvest Time Church of God with Bro. Glenn Fussell, Bro. Bobby Pope and Mr. Wesley Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Satilla Memorial Gardens. Mr. Bryant will lay-in-state from 1pm until 2pm at the church prior to the service. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, September 23, 2020 from 6pm until 9pm at Sims Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Leegene Waldron, Casey Tanner, Lee Ellis, Joshua Ellis, Nathan McLeod and Blake Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Employees of Bryant Paint and Wallcovering, Dr. Charles Miller M.D. and the members of the Harvest Time Church of God.
