Edward Joseph Chybicki, age 90, of Douglas, GA passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at his residence. Mr. Chybicki was born on July 12, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Bruno Chybicki and the late Louise Abramowski Chybicki.
He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was Yellow Freight Truck Driver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, First Wife: Florence Chybicki, Brothers: Joseph Dudzik, Paul Chybicki, and Robert Chybicki, Sister: Dorothy Fotik and Grandson: Keith Eric "Biskit" Chybicki.
Survivors include: Wife: Verneal Nipper of Douglas, GA; two daughters: Deborah Herron of Hartselle, AL and Gail (Wright) Nipper of Douglas, GA; two sons: Edward David Chybicki of Minooka, IL and Donald Brian Chybicki of Baxley, GA; two step-daughters: Rose Powell of Douglas, GA, and LeAnn Woods of Douglas, GA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 6, 2020 from 6:00 Pm to 9:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 4:00pm at St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Father Paul O’Connell and Rev. Floyd Tanner officiating. Pallbearers will be James Chris Gandy, Robbie Chybicki, Jimmy Chybicki, Ray Music, Kevin Music and Devin Music.
Interment will follow at Chatterton Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery.
