Danny Glynn Solomon

Mr. Danny Glynn Solomon, age 68, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at his residence. 

He was born on May 12, 1949 in Willacoochee, GA but grew up in Nashville, GA. He was the son of the late Sylvester Gresham Solomon, Sr. and Dora Adams Solomon.  He was an active member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, worked as a USDA inspector and was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam Conflict.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Odell Solomon and Ludell Solomon; brother,  William Benajah Solomon; grandson, Matthew Clifton Solomon.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Fussell Solomon of Douglas; three sons, Danny Glynn Solomon, II.and wife LaTrice of Dudley, GA,  Clifton Jerome Solomon and wife Becky of Nashville, GA and  Andrew Wayne Solomon and wife Laura of Nashville, GA; two daughters, Doralee Gowen and husband Mike of Douglas, GA and Cynthia Hood and husband Tad of Douglas, GA;  Brother, Sylvester Gresham Solomon, Jr. and wife Delaine of Nashville, GA;  Sister, Phyllis Ziemer and husband Paul of Davison, Michigan; sister-in-law, Janice Solomon of Nashville, GA; twenty three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with President Andrew W. Solomon and Brother Trey Fussell officiating and Glynn Solomon giving the eulogy. Interment will follow in Cumorah Cemetery. The grave will be dedicated by Clifton Solomon. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home.

The pallbearers will be Bill Solomon, Steve Solomon, Bruce Solomon, Steven Ziemer , Alex Fussell, Joah Fussell, Blake Fussell and Caleb Wright.
