Alene V. Powell

Alene V. Powell, age 86, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Thursday November 29, 2018 at Vista Park. Mrs. Powell was born on February 13, 1932 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter to the late Henry Frank Vaughn and Ethel Mae Smith Vaughn.

She was a homemaker and was of the Holiness Faith.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Sue Kratochvil of Waycross, GA; sister, Winnie Register of Denton, GA; two brothers, Frank Vaughn of Douglas, GA and Mitchell Vaughn of Douglas, GA; Grandchildren: Lisa Powell, Jennifer Pryor, Michael wife Tonya Via, Mat Powell, Kenny Kratochvil, Jason wife Leann Kratochvil,  Samantha and husband Patrick Daniels, Haley and husband Booky Howell; seventeen grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday December 2, 2018 at 4:00PM at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Peacock officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2PM until 4PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
