Ada Ludell Davis, age 78, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Thursday July 5, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Davis was born on February 9, 1940 in Pearson, Georgia the daughter to the late Clayton Calvin Bowen and Lola Spivey Bowen.
She worked as a waitress and attended Southview Church of God.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by son, James C. Horton, daughter, Sherry Mae Horton, brother, W.J. Bowen and step-son, John David Davis.
Survivors include her husband, Lynnwood Davis of Douglas, GA; daughter, Anita Corbitt and husband Ricky of West Green, GA; two sons, John Horton and wife Brenda of Nicholls, GA and Franklin Horton and wife Ann of Douglas, GA; brother, Calvin Bowen and wife Lataire of Nicholls, GA; two sisters, Carlene Gillespie of Callahan, FL and Irma Grace Whitley of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren, Greg Lott James Allen Corbitt and Richard Corbitt all of West Green, GA , Mark Horton, Alex Horton and Kendra Carter Taylor all of Nicholls, GA; fourteen great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Edward Davis
Funeral services will be Saturday July 7, 2018 at 4:00 pm at Chatterton Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Chaney officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home.
