Zola Mae Benson

Zola Mae Benson, age 89, of Sylvester, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Benson was born on December 17, 1932, in Coffee County Georgia, to the late Manning Spivey and Lillie Bell Kirkland.

Survivors include: Her Daughter; Patricia Willingham of Albany, GA, Four Sons; Monte Henderson (Judy) of Albany, GA, Wendell Henderson (Teresa) of Sylvester, GA, Gary Henderson (April) of Locust Grove, GA, Alton Henderson (Michelle) of Sylvester, GA, Nine Grandchildren; Scott Willingham (Delaine), Nicole Willingham, Nathan Henderson, Lee Henderson, Ashley Henderson, Katie Henderson, Kristen Henderson, Meaghan Henderson, Jennifer Brown Pitts, Justin Henderson, Ten Great-Grandchildren; Alyssa Crews, Joshua Crews, Chloe Crews, Patricia Ann Henderson, Leeah Henderson, Chloe Rector, Olivia Stoudt, Anthony Stoudt, Marissa Matello, Scarlet Matello, Zane Camp, Amellia Williams, and Kason Hart. Mrs. Benson was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Benson was preceded in death by her parents Manning Spivey and Lillie Bell Kirkland, and her husband; Euel Benson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 14, 2022, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 11:00AM, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Hardy Crosby officiating. Interment will follow at Chatterton Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery.
