Tempa (Harper) Knight

Tempa Harper Knight, age 93, of Broxton, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 following an extended illness. Mrs. Knight was born on January 2, 1927 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Jesse and Sarah Hutto Harper.

Mrs. Knight was a homemaker and a member of Broxton Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Monroe Knight, two sons, Joel Knight and Emory Knight and ten siblings.

Survivors include her son, Marvin Knight (Christine) of Broxton, GA; seven grandchildren, Tracey Roberson, Bryant Knight, Douglas Knight, Steven Knight, Marshall Knight, Amber Knight Hamilton and Maggie Knight Winters; twelve great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; brother, Clyde Harper of Broxton, GA.

Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak a graveside service is planned for 11:00am Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Rocky Creek Church Cemetery with Rev. Joey Copeland officiating. Pallbearers will be Cody Knight, Trey Roberson, Jordan Knight, Wesley Sears, Cole Knight, Paiden Lanier and Peyton Winters. Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs and comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the Coronavirus, including social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Broxton Church of God, 1077 Alabama St. N, Broxton, GA 31519.
