Sandra Walker

Sandra Walker, age 80, of Ambrose, GA passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019, at Coffee Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Walker was born on September 5, 1939, in Douglas, GA to the late Clark Dennis Vickers and Clara Virginia Paulk Vickers. She built a very successful career as a residential, and then commercial, real estate broker in both Georgia and Florida, returning to her home in Ambrose later in life to care for her aging grandmother, aunt and parents.

Survivors include her daughter Trina (husband Dr. Steve) Wilkerson of Willachoochee, GA and son Dr. Trey (wife Wendy) Denton of Statesboro GA; a brother, Kirby (wife Deborah) Vickers of Ambrose, GA, and a sister, Virginia (husband Ted, deceased) Meyers of Ponte Vedra, FL.

Ms. Walker will also be missed by her granddaughters Dustin (husband Tyler) Deen, Michelle (husband Brandon) Donahue, Shay Wilkerson, Dr. Esta (husband Dr. Aalap) Shah and Dr. Kimberly (husband Kyle) Koch; and grandsons Daniel (wife Rebecca) Denton and Gage Wilkerson; as well as by her great-grandchildren Eliza Vaughn, Macy Smith, Demi Donahue, Lily Denton, Kindle Donahue, Abhi Shah, Charlotte Denton, Audra Deen, Janie Koch, and Evie Shah.

She is also grieved by her special companion, Mr. Tony Bell, of Milledgeville.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home, with Rev. Shep Johnson officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, in the reception hall of Sims Funeral Home.

Interment to follow at the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery
