Russell Lanier Metts, age 78, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Metts was born on December 11, 1943 in Douglas, GA to the late Russell Metts and Doris English Metts.

Survivors include: Daughter; Rhonda (Rickey ) Dorsey of Douglas, GA, Daughter, Renee M. (Terry) Roberson of Douglas, GA, Grandchildren, Clayton Roberson, Russ Roberson, Cole Dorsey, Allison Dorsey, Brother, Darrell (Becky) Metts of Willacoochee, GA, Sister, Brenda (Emmett) Hampton of Ambrose, GA, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: His Wife, Joann Spivey Metts,  Father, Russell Metts, and Mother, Doris English Metts.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, from 1:00PM until 3:00PM, at Rocky Pond Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 3:00PM, at Rocky Pond Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Spikes and Rev. Larry Stone officiating. Active Pallbearers will be: Morgan Smith, Jimmy Scott, John Davis, John Day, Danny Hadsock, Chad Kimbrough, Larren Corbitt, and Bryce Strob. Interment will follow at Rocky Pond Baptist Church Cemetery.
