Melva (Tanner) Brady

Melva Brady, age 88, of Nicholls, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Twin Oaks Convalescents Center, Alma, Georgia. Mrs. Brady was born on October 15, 1931 in Douglas, Georgia the daughter of the late Melvin Tanner and Fannie Cole Tanner.

She worked as a hairdresser and attended Saginaw Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Kirkland  (Dinky) of Nicholls, GA, Keith Kirkland of Nicholls, GA ; two grandsons, Tim Kirkland of Jacksonville, FL and Kaylan Kirkland of Nicholls, GA; two granddaughters, Terra Orseno of Bartlett, Ill and Brandy Flanders of Valdosta, GA; five great grandchildren, Nick Kirkland, Avery Orseno, Austin Orseno, Bryce Walker and Aria Flanders; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11:00am at Roberts Cemetery with Rev. L.G. Aldridge officiating. Pallbearers will be Johnny Johnson, Keith Harrell, Randy Harrell, Nick Kirkland, Darrien Kirkland and Jeff Bayard.

Musical selection will be “Amazing Grace” by CD.
