Lillian (Barfield) Smith

Lillian Smith, age 84, of Suwannee, Florida passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Tri-County Nursing & Rehabilitation, Trenton, Florida. Mrs. Smith was born on March 11, 1936 in Jefferson County, Georgia the daughter of the late Simon Peter Barfield and the late Addie Fennell Barfield.

Mrs. Smith retired from Dixie County Public Works and was a owner/operator of a Smith’s Seafood Establishment, Suwannee, Florida.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Harvey Lee “Buddy” Smith Sr. and a son, Harvey Lee Smith, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Shanda Morrow (Robert) of Chiefland, FL; granddaughter, Amber Leigh Jarvis (Kevin) of Suwannee, FL; two great grandchildren, Dusty Wilson and Brylee Wilson; daughter-in-law, Lisa Smith; sister, Bessie Tapley of Appling, GA; sister-in-law, Barbara Barfield of Alma, GA; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2020 at 2:00pm at Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. L.G. Aldridge officiating. She will be laid by her husband, Harvey Lee “Buddy” Smith Sr.

She was loved and will be missed by many.
