Laura Sue Taylor, age 78, of Ambrose, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Taylor was born on August 10, 1943 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Oather & Ruby Reed Jenks.
Mrs. Taylor retired from Fleetwood Draperies and was a member of First Congregational Church, Douglas, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Taylor, Sr.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Rhonda Sue Saeed (A.J.) of Douglas, GA and, Sherry Lynn Troupe (Johnny ) of Douglas, GA; son, Ronald Edward Taylor, Jr. (Leighann) of Ambrose, GA; 10 grandchildren, Laila Johnson (Keven), Reis Hill, Farah Saeed (Brad Moon), Laura Vaughn (Mark), Mollie Griffis (Gatlin), Gregory Burch, Jr. (Brittany), Meaghan Burch, Rian Hill, Ansleigh Hill and, Addisyn Taylor; 5 great-grandchildren, Lyna Johnson, Colt Vaughn, Grey Burch, Liliana Moon and, Shelby Vaughn.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 3, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Douglas First Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Rutland and Dr. Donald Hattaway officiating. Interment will follow at Reedy Branch Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Ricketson, Derek Pridgen, Chuck Heiken, Stephen Pridgen, Alfred Penn, Reis Hill and Edward Penn. Honorary pallbearers will be Connie O’Neal, Pete & Sharon Bunyard, Leighanna McBride, Lollipop Staff and John Coffee.
