James Richard "Joe" Harrell

James Richard "Joe" Harrell, age 69, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an brief illness. Mr. Harrell was born on February 15, 1952, in Douglas, GA, to the late Clark Harrell and Christine Cothren Whitley.

Mr. Harrell was an electrician by trade, and worked as an electrical maintenance supervisor at PCC Airfoils for 25 years.

Survivors include: His Wife;  Shelby Jean Harrell of Douglas, GA, Son;  Craig Harrell of Douglas, GA, Daughter;  Carey Tanner (Jimmy Ray) of Nicholls, GA, Brother;  Keith Harrell of Plant City, FL, Sister;  Bernice Lott of Douglas, GA, Step- Brother;  Perry Burttram of Plant City, FL, Grandchildren;   Cole Harrell (Kasey), Leah Streat (Ryan), Kelby Tanner, Kalyn Tanner, Great-Grandchildren;  Hadilyn Streat, Harleigh Streat,  and Step-Mother;  Peggy Hunter of Dover, FL. Mr. Harrell was preceded in death by his parents, Clark Harrell and Christine Whitley, Two Brothers;  Clark Harrell Jr. and Gene Harrell, Step-Father;  Paul Whitley, and Step-Mother;  Goldie Cannon.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 6:00PM until 9:00PM, at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 11:00AM, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home, with Rev. Jimmy Tanner and Rev. Willie Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Harrell Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
