Hilda Glynn Hastings

Hilda Glynn Hastings, age 77, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022. Mrs. Hastings was born on November 01, 1944, in Glynn County, GA to Daniel Arlington Douglas and Genell Carter Douglas.

Survivors include: Two Daughters: Serena Cleland Burke (Matthew) of Broxton, GA, Amy Hastings Smith (Scott) of Broxton, GA, Two Sons: John Cleland of Douglas, GA, Bradley Lewis Hastings (Jessica) of Powder Springs, GA, Grandchildren: John Marshall Cleland (Jessica), Alexandria Cleland, Victoria Cleland, Elliott Burke (Nicole), Drew Burke (Kaleigh), Logan Hastings, Riley Hastings, Benjamin Hastings, Great Grand Children: Stanley, Christopher and Chloe Cleland, Hagan Burke, Sawyer Burke, Two Brothers: Fred Douglas and DA Douglas, Two Sisters: Carolyn Holton and Loyce Chapman (Steve) and  Brother in Law: Leonard Thrift. She was preceded in death by: Father: Daniel Arlington Douglas, Mother: Genell Carter Douglas, Husband: John Lewis Hastings, Three Sisters: Sarah Ogden, Laura Mead and Liz Thrift.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 24, 2022 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 2:00PM at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Christian Colson officiating. Interment followed at Stokesville Baptist Church Cemetery.  Active Pallbearers will be Andy Holton, Otis Douglas, Daniel Ogden, Chris Ogden, Steve Chapman, Duane Chapman, Ben Chapman and Randall Peterson. Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Sunday School Class and Eastside Baptist Church.
