Brenda (Whitley) Horton

Brenda Horton, age 59, passed away on Sunday March 3, 2019 at Dekalb Medical Center. Mrs. Horton was born on June 30, 1959 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of Betty Ruth Grantham Whitley and the late Charles Edward Whitley.

Mrs. Horton was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God.

Survivors include her husband, John Horton of Nicholls, GA; three sons, Mark Horton (Lindsey) of Alma, GA, Alex Horton (Sonja) of Nicholls, GA and Justin Thomas of Nicholls, GA; mother, Betty Whitley of Douglas, GA; two brothers, Bruce Whitley (Melissa) of Douglas, GA and Brian Whitley (Tammy) of Douglas, GA; seven grandchildren, Kaid Horton, Mason Horton, Karleigh Horton, Jaxson Horton, Paislie Horton, Charlotte Horton and Peyton Horton; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 7, 2019 at 2:00pm at the First Assembly of God with Rev. Marshall Adcock officiating. Interment will follow at Hall Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6pm until 9pm at Sims Funeral Home.
