Alton Eugene Hollinger

Alton Eugene Hollinger, age 63, of Darien, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Hollinger was born on October 10, 1956 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late Alton Houston Hollinger and the late Nancy Virginia Burkett Hollinger.

Mr. Hollinger worked as a mechanic with Jerry’s Wreaker Service and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death a brother, Gregory Hollinger and a sister, Virginia Palmer.

Survivors include girlfriend, Linda Burkhalter of Darien, GA; three daughters, Virginia Hollinger of Dalton, GA, Amanda Hollinger of Broxton, GA and Christina King of Colorado; two brothers, James Hollinger of Douglas, GA and Billy Hollinger of Douglas, Ga; several grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 28, 2020 from 10am until 11am at Sims Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 11:00 at Royals Cemetery with Rev. Loyce Burkett officiating. Pallbearers will be Scott White, Earl White, Jared Hollinger, Kyle Palmer, Eddie Davis, Nick Hollinger and Will Sanchez.
