Willie Mae (Carver) Sears

Mrs. Willie Mae Carver Sears, age 85, of Douglas, GA passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018, at Vista Park Nursing Home.  Mrs. Sears was born on February 24, 1933, in Jacksonville, FL to the late William Joshua Carver and Liphomia Carver.

Survivors include: Daughter: Cynthia Vickers of Douglas, Ga.; Son: James Bryan Sears, Jr. of Douglas, Ga.Sister: Ivy Ruth Murray of Jacksonville, FL. Nephews: B. J. Carver and Billy Carver both of Jacksonville, FL.  Grandchildren: Scott Snipes of Atlanta, Ga.: Eric Snipes of Douglas, GA.: Austin Snipes of San Francisco, CA: J. D. Sears of Thomasville, GA.: Will Sears of Douglas, GA,: Great-Grandchildren: Case Snipes and Raegan Snipes:  She was preceded in death by Husband: James Bryan Sears, SR.:Daughter Hattie Elaine Sears, and Brother: Ronnie  McDonald.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Drake Lomax, Rev. Marshall Adcock and Grandson Scott Snipes officiating.  Interment will follow at Satilla Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday October 7, 2018 from 6:00 PM yo 9:00 Pm at Sims Funeral Home, 201 N Peterson Ave., Douglas, Ga.
