Virginia Lee Griffin

Virginia Lee Griffin, age 92, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Friday September 20, 2019 at Vista Park. Mrs. Griffin was born on April 20, 1927 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late William F. Bray and the late Elevener Lee Bray.

She worked as a Para Pro with the Coffee County School System at Westside Elementary School and was a member of College Avenue Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Griffin and a sister, Louise Ward.

Survivors include her son, Kevin Griffin of Douglas, GA; two grandchildren, Kelsey Griffin of Douglas, GA and Nicholas Griffin of Douglas, GA; two sisters, Pauline Merritt of Douglas, GA and Joyce Harper of Broxton, GA; brother, Billy Bray of Blackshear, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday September 23, 2019 from the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Rutland officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6pm until 9pm at Sims Funeral Home.
