Tommy Wayne Grantham

Tommy Wayne Grantham, age 68, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Sunday January 6, 2019 at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Grantham was born on October 10, 1950 in Douglas, Georgia the son of the late Willie Grantham and Alma Lott Grantham.

He was an independent distributer for the Georgia Times Union and was a member of Rocky Pond Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Grantham.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Ann Shook Grantham of Douglas, GA; son, Chris Grantham (Liz) of Douglas, GA; grandchildren, Neely Ann Grantham, Ivey Lane Grantham and Chapel Maxine Grantham; two brothers, Danny Grantham of Douglas, GA and W.L. Grantham (Nadine) of Douglas, GA; two sisters, Maude Merritt (Aldean) of Wray, GA and Bobbie Wright (LeRoy) of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 9, 2019 at 2:00pm at Rocky Pond Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Spikes and Rev. Larry Stone officiating. He will lay-in-state at the church at 1pm to 2pm prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6pm until 9pm at Sims Funeral Home.
