Rodney Lynn Williams

Rodney L. Williams, age 50, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Thursday July 25, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center, Savannah, Georgia. Mr. Williams was born on August 19, 1968 in Ware County, Georgia the son of Marilyn Bowen Robinson and the late Roy V. Williams Sr.

Mr. Williams was employed by Sayer Farms, Church of God Faith and was a veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roy V. Williams Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Renee Batten Williams of Douglas, GA; three daughters, Kimberly Williams of Atlanta, GA, Blane Donahue (husband Mitchell) of Ambrose, GA and Megan Williams of Ambrose, GA; three sons, Alex Williams of Waycross, GA, Dylan Williams of Douglas, GA and Ethan Williams (wife Rebecca) of Douglas, GA; mother, Marilyn W. Robinson (husband David) of Lakeland, GA; two step-children, Kelcey Roberson (wife Brittany) of Athens, GA and Austin Futch of Fitzgerald, GA; three brothers, Tony Williams (wife Melissa) of West Green, GA, Carl Williams of Valdosta, GA and Chad Williams of Florida; six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday July 29, 2019 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Bishop Mathew McEachern officiating. Mr. Lamar Merritt will bring a eulogy and Noah Enriquez will do the graveside service. Interment will follow at Central Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service at Sims Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Lamar Merritt, Wayne Sayer, Stacy Mixon, Brian Dill, Jeremy Williams Ben Batten and Tidwell Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Sayer Farms, McKinnon Farms and Tidwell Carter Fried Chicken.
