Rae Adams

Barbara "Rae" Adams, age 80, of Douglas, Ga. passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Adams was born on August 13, 1936, in Montezuma, Ga. to the late Charles Raymond Jackson and Robbie Welch Jackson.

Survivors include: her husband, Orson Adams of Douglas, Ga.; two sons, Ralph Gerald Arnold and Guerry Randolph (Tonya) Arnold both of Douglas, Ga.; daughter, Karla Adams of St. Louis, MO; daughter-in-law, Monica Watson of Broxton, Ga.; three grandchildren, Shannon (Lee) Roberts of Douglas, Ga., Alisa Arnold of Broxton, Ga., and Allie Adams of West Green, Ga.; three great-grandchildren, Ben Roberts, Jackson Roberts, and Delta Sixtos; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by two sons, Gregory Randal Arnold and Donald Adams; a brother, Claude Jackson; and a sister, Joanne Spillers.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 7, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Elder John LeGrand "Lee" Roberts and Elder Ovid O’Neal officiating. Interment will follow at Carver Baptist Church Cemetery. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
