Mary McCook

Mary McCook , age 84, of Douglas, Ga. formally of Gloucester Point, Va. passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. McCook was born on March 12, 1933 in Mustoe, Va. to the late Harry Tucker Hiner and Mary Catherine Harris Hiner.

Survivors include: her son, Charles (Karen) McCook of Gloucester, Va.; four daughters, Mary K. (Daniel) LaCross of Gloucester Point, Va., Betty Jean Hosack of St. Marys, Ga., Jo Ann (Jimmy) Williams of Douglas, Ga., and Shannon (Antonio) McCook of Gloucester, Va.; two sisters, Pearl Buzzard of Hot Springs, Va. and Charlotte Ann Vogel of Fort Washington, Pa.; twelve grandchildren, BJ LaCross, Jennifer Harper, Candace Pullum, Christopher McCook, Karissa Harper, Heather McCook, Malinda Odom, Summer Driver, Andrea McCook, Jessica Carver, Alexis Foster, and Ayden Foster; nineteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie McCook; and several brothers and sisters.

Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News, Va. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
