Mary "Mag" (Morgan) Lewis

Mary Magdalene “Mag” Lewis, age 78, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Friday March 1, 2019 at Vista Park. Mrs. Lewis was born on October 29, 1940 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Acie Morgan and Eva Mae Varnedore Morgan.

She worked as a Poultry Processor with Gold Kist and was a member of Harvest Time Church of God.

Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lewis Jr, grandson, Joshua Burnam and a great grandson, Colton Lewis.

Survivors include four daughters, Vicki Lewis of West Green, GA, Sharon Lewis of Douglas, GA, Shirley Stone of West Green, GA and Jennifer Lewis of Nicholls, GA; son, Gordon Buddy Lewis (Bridgette) of Douglas, GA; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; sister, Myrtle Lee Adams of Douglas, GA; brother, George R. Morgan (Hazel) of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday March 3, 2019 at 2:00pm at Faith Chapel with Rev. Billy Musgrove, Rev. Johnny Smith and Rev. Den Weniger officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Byrd Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6pm until 9pm at Sims Funeral Home. Mrs. Lewis will lay-in-state from 1pm until 2pm prior to the service at the church.
