Mary Magdalene Jardine

Mrs. Mary Magdalene Jardine, age 92, of Douglas, Georgia passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Manor House in Douglas, GA following a brief illness.

Mrs. Jardine was born on February 2, 1926 in Irwin County the daughter to the late Willis and Amanda Leslie. She was a retired school teacher with Coffee County School System and was a member of Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jardine was also preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Jardine.

She is survived by her step-daughter, Margaret Spikes and husband Bill of Douglas, Georgia; step-son, Freddie Jardine and wife Dora of Douglas, Georgia; grandchildren, Fran Simmons and husband Danny and Bill Spikes; great grandchildren, Hailey Mae Spikes, Madelynn Simmons and Mathew Simmons; brother, Talmadge Leslie and wife Mary of Jacksonville, Florida; cousin, Mae Joiner.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Walter DeLoach officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the church.  Interment will follow in the Douglas City Cemetery.
