Mary Regina Aycock, age 50, of Winterville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, Athens, Georgia. Mrs. Aycock was born on September 25, 1969 in Douglas, GA the daughter of Evelyn Paulk Anderson and the late Eugene Anderson.
She was a middle school teacher with Coile Middle School in the Clarke County School System and had taught in the Ocilla, Coffee County and Jackson County School Systems. Mrs. Aycock was a member of First Assembly of God, Douglas, GA.
Survivors include her husband, Wendell Brian Aycock of Winterville, GA; two daughters, Ragan Aycock and Abbey Aycock both of Winterville, GA; brother, Thomas Anderson of California; mother, Evelyn Paulk Anderson of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening January 1, 2020 from 6pm until 9pm at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 2:00pm at First Assembly of God with Rev. Marshall Adcock officiating. A special reading will be by Lori McCartney. Interment will follow at Stokesville Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Willis Aycock, Cray Grantham, Terry Morgan, Casey Thompson, Curtis Gasque and Buddy Phillips.
Music will be provided by Marlene Vaughn, Jana Phillips, Tamera Morgan and Stephanie Brockington singing “In the Garden”. David Aycock will provide piano accompaniment throughout the service.
