Laverne Deal

Laverne Deal, age 87, of Ambrose, Ga. passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017, at Pruitt Health Care following an extended illness. Mrs. Deal was born on November 29, 1929, in Ambrose, Ga. to the late Quincy Purvis and Mollie Smith Purvis.

Survivors include: her daughter, Wanda Paulk of Ambrose, Ga.; two sons, Don (Sherry) Paulk and Randy Deal both of Ambrose, Ga.; four grandchildren, Kelly Batten, Sid Deal, Phillip Paulk, and Kimberly Deal; seven great-grandchildren, Halleigh Deal, Carter Deal, Charlie Deal, Ava Lynn Deal, Brooks Batten, Cooper Batten, and Summer Paulk; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Marvin Deal.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home.

Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Union Church Cemetery with Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
