Jack Edward Steptoe

Mr. Jack Edward Steptoe, age 81, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at Coffee Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Steptoe was born on July 16, 1938, in Wrightsville, Georgia to the late Charlie Felton Steptoe and Lonnie Lee Tapley Steptoe.

Survivors include:  Wife: Doris Marlene Barfield Steptoe of Douglas, GA,  Daughter: Paula (husband, Winston Walker) Steptoe of Savannah, GA, Sons: Eddie (wife, Denise Josey) Steptoe of Douglas, GA,   Scott (husband, Casey Morris) Steptoe of Austin, TX.   Grandchildren:  Jack Steptoe III of Douglas, GA,  Andrew Steptoe of Douglas, GA.  Step-Children: Tammy (husband, Timothy) Fussell of Douglas, GA,  Shonie Thomas of Hahira, GA.  Step-Grandchildren: Jad Fussell, Alex Fussell and Rachel Fussell of Douglas, GA,  Lindsay Thomas and Aaron Thomas of Hahira, GA. 

Mr. Steptoe was a Charter Member of Northside Baptist Church and a retiree of the United States Navy,  serving aboard the USS Franklin D Roosevelt.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at 10:45 AM at the Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Ken White officiating.

Request by the family all flowers are to be delivered Saturday afternoon (4PM) to the Northside Baptist Church social hall.    

The family will receive friends Friday, October 4, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
