Franklin Courson Obituary

Mr. Franklin DeWayne Courson, age 59 of Nicholls, Georgia passed away on Saturday July 6, 2019 at his residence following and extended illness. Mr. Courson was born on May 28, 1960 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late Edford Courson and Evelyn Youngblood..

Mr. Courson was a self-employed carpenter and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include: One son, Ashley Courson of Wray,GA;  Step-Mother, Nell Courson of Bickley,GA; Three sisters; Calisse Owens and husband Jim of Kingston, TN, Karen Johnson of Nicholls, GA, and Sherry Adams and husband Sid of Douglas,GA; One brother, David Anthony and wife Kaneah of Bickley, GA; One granddaughter, Ava Courson; along with several nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Courson.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday July 9, 2019 at 4:00PM at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 2:00PM until 3:30PM at

Sims Funeral Home.
