Evelyn Ruth Cato, age 94, of Douglas, GA passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Manor House. Mrs. Cato was born on February 27, 1924, in Douglas, Georgia to the late Stanford Williams and Emma Bledsoe Williams.
Mrs. Cato was a retired nurse working with Coffee Regional Hospital and doing private duty nursing, member of a Garden Club, Quilting Club and Artist Guild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John H.Cato, Sr., son John H.Cato, Jr., brother, William Williams, Sister, Marion Lengen and nephew, Richard Lindsey.
Survivors include niece, Janice Harben and husband Alan of Lawrenceville, GA, Great-Nephew, Jason Lindsey and wife Stephanie of Lancaster, CA, Great-Nephew, Matt Williams and wife Michaela of Lawrenceville, GA, Great-Nephew, Tim Harben of Lawrenceville, GA.
Graveside Services were held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Don Dilly officiating and the eulogy by Janice Harben. Pallbearers were Matt Williams, Tim Harben, Dwight Kirkland, Mickey Burnam and Jack Meeks.
