Evelyn Caves Flanders

Mrs. Evelyn Caves Flanders, age 81, of Pearson, GA, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, in Douglas, GA.  Mrs. Flanders was born on June 19, 1936 in Coffee County, GA to the late Albert Caves and Lillie Batten Caves. She was a member of Mora Baptist Church, of Willacoochee, GA.

She is survived by her sons, PeeWee Flanders and wife DeAnn Flanders, Alma, GA and Tommy and wife Nelda Flanders of Douglas, GA; daughter, Mrs. Debbie and husband Henry Smith of Pearson, GA; sister, Nadine Walker of Statesboro, GA, brother, Glen Caves of Douglas, GA, and Sammy Caves of Columbus, GA, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, Thomas Flanders. 

The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Mora Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Harper and Rev. Bobby Fussell officiating. Special songs will be “Over the Rainbow “and “Surely the Presence of the Lord” performed by Nelda Flanders and Natalie Mizell with   “Amazing Grace” by congregation.  The interment will be at Arna Church Cemetery.
