Our sweet Caroline Elizabeth Smith was born on Saturday, April 13, 2002 and gained her angel wings on Sunday, February 17, 2019.
From heaven, Caroline will watch over her mama and brother, Marnie Smith and Trent, father, Brent Smith, grandparents, Paula and Michael Allen, Marie and Henry Medders and Danny Smith, great- grandparents, Gladys Allen, Wannell Dockery and Vivien and Maxell Smith, aunts, uncles and cousins, Marlo and Danny Ross, Thomas Daniel (T.D.) and Phillip, Loy and Cleve Henderson, Troy and Grant, Dana and Jason Dunn, Jacob and Jenna, Courtney and Josh Hersey, Ethan and Jase, Bart Medders and Holly and Matt McCallum, Mason, Maelie and Matilyn as well as a host of great-aunts, uncles and cousins.
Such a special blessing, Caroline was extremely independent and fiesty. Always active in extra-curricular activities, her dancing career ended prematurely when she decided she no longer wanted to dress up for recitals. But, the one constant was cheerleading. Since the first grade, she has been cheering on the home team. Caroline's pride was being a Coffee High Trojan cheerleader and sporting her letterman's jacket. Smarter than her years, she was a scholar athlete. Caroline's educational interests were leading her into the nursing field as she desired to work with critically ill children. So, it is quite befitting that with an unselfish and loving heart her last gift was to save others.
Caroline's funeral service will take place on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Matt Rutland officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved great-grandfather, Papa Dockery (Bennie Dockery, Sr.) at Luke Cemetery in Willacoochee. Caroline's family will receive friends on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Sims Funeral Home, who is in charge of all funeral arrangements.
The family asks that donations to LifeLink Foundation be considered in remembrance of our sweet Caroline.
