Carl Edward Sweat, age 66, passed away on Monday March 26, 2018 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Sweat was born on June 2, 1951 in Douglas, GA the son of the late Leo Sweat and Waunelle Mancil Sweat. He was retired dump truck driver with Coffee County Road Department and retired in 1999 from PCC. He was a member of Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy and a twenty year veteran with the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Sweat of Douglas; daughter, Charlotte Vickie Murray of Douglas; son, Jonathan Henry Sweat, Sr. and wife Jessica of Douglas; nine grandchildren, Chance Sweat, Amber White, Dakota Griffin, Madison Reliford, Johnny Murray, Mika Reliford, Jonathan Henry Sweat, Jr., Hayley Sweat and Kayley Sweat; sister, Lois McMillan and husband Ricky of Douglas; five brothers, Joe Sweat and wife Linda, Bill Sweat and wife Helen, James Sweat and wife Ann, John Sweat and wife Brenda and Jimmy Sweat and wife Sherry all of Douglas; numerous nieces , nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, March 30, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home.
