Bonnie Lou Stone, age 74, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Wednesday November 27, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Stone was born on May 11, 1945 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Curtis “Buddy” Kirkland and the late Myrtice Harper Kirkland. She worked as a inspector for P.C.C. and was a member Trinity Non-Denominational Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Mann Kirkland and Dexter (Boy) Kirkland and two sisters, Geraldine Lott and Linda Kirkland.
Survivors include two daughters, Pam Stone of Douglas, GA and Tammy Carpenter (James) of Vienna, GA; son, Rod Stone (Tammy) of Douglas, GA; two sisters, Betty Sue “Sweeton” Wilkens of Nicholls, GA and Patsy Spivey (Larry) of Douglas, GA; brother, David Kirkland (Marlene) of Douglas, GA; four grandchildren, Megan S. Myers (Ray) of Douglas, GA, Breana Carver of Savannah, GA, Bud Stone of Douglas, GA and Jarrett Stone of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening November 30, 2019 from 6pm until 9pm at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday December 1, 2019 at Trinity Non-Denominational Church at 4:00pm with Rev. Floyd Musgrove and Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Church Cemetery. Music will be provided all by CD, Hinson Family, “That I Could Still Go Free”, Mann Kirkland Singers, “Walk Through The Gates”, and Rambo’s, “Mama Teaching Angels How to Sing”.
Pallbearers will be Gary Lott, Mike Faulkner, Dexter Kirkland Jr.,Chase Williams, Shawn Spivey and Joshua Kirkland. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of USA Transport and employees of Atkinson Visiting Nurses.
