Betty Joyce Mullis

Betty Joyce Mullis, age 81, of Douglas, GA passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Mullis was born on December 20, 1933, in Macon, GA to the late John Williams and Emma Wainwright Williams. Survivors include: her husband, Joseph Leland Mullis of Douglas, GA; daughter, Brenda (Brian) Lamy of Douglas, GA; two sisters, Margaret Donaldson of Macon, GA and Dorothy Bowden of McDonough, GA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Mullis.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Frist Baptist Church.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Shep Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Douglas Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are: Tommy Sheppard, Joe Day, Garland Thompson, Dr. John Moffet, Bob Moore, and Larry Lewis. Honorary Pallbearers are: Betty Turner's Sunday School Class. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
