Aiden Walker Gillis

Master Aiden Walker Gillis, age 5 months, passed away on Wednesday September 26, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Savannah, Georgia following an extended illness. Aiden was born on April 11, 2018 in Douglas, Georgia the son of Alexis Trowell and Davis Gillis.

Aiden was preceded in death by a sister, Hileigh Rose Trowell and great grandfather, Vickers Gillis.

Survivors include his mother, Alexis Trowell of Douglas, GA and father, Davis Gillis of Douglas, GA; maternal grandparents, Andrew Joel and Maggie Merritt Bennett of Douglas, GA; paternal grandparents,  Nipper Gillis and companion Amber Chaney of Pearson, GA and Donna Gillis and friend Christy Nipper of Sumner, GA; maternal great grandparents, Earl and Lera Merritt of Douglas, GA; paternal great grandparents, Johnny and Peggy  Davis of Millwood, GA and Lee and Brenda Mizell Axson, GA; paternal great grandmother, Lallie Gillis of Pearson, GA; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday September 30, 2018 at 2:00pm at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Hill Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 until 9:00pm at Sims Funeral Home.
