Henry Frank Vaughn Jr., age 89, of Douglas, GA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024, at his residence, following an extended illness. He was born on January 3rd, 1935 the son of Mr. Henry Frank Vaughn Sr. and Mrs. Ethel Mae Smith Vaughn.
Mr. Frank Vaughn was the pastor at Rocky Creek Holiness Church for almost Seventy years. He was known for his love for the church and ministering to the congregation. He was accompanied by his beloved wife throughout his life and along with her, the other joys that he had were his children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His survivors include: His wife of almost Seventy years; Laura K. Vaughn of Douglas, GA, Five Sons; Timothy (Teresa) Vaughn of Douglas, GA, Jonathan Vaughn of Douglas, GA, Greg (Glorisa) Vaughn of Douglas, GA, Louis (Jennifer) Vaughn of Westgreen, GA, and Rex (Melissa) Vaughn of Nicholls, GA, Three Daughters; Laura Wanda V. (R.L.) Peacock of Broxton, GA, Mary Lynn V. (Ricky) Brown of Tifton, GA, and Deborah Jane V. Kight of Douglas, GA, Twenty-One Grandchildren, Forty-two Great- Grandchildren, One Sister; Winnie Mae Register of Hazlehurst, GA, One Brother; Mitchell (Carolyn) Vaughn of Douglas, GA, Along with several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by: One Son; Henry Frank Vaughn III, Two Sisters; Mary Magdalene Ricketson, and Alene Powell, One Brother; Dan Vaughn, Father; Henry Frank Vaughn Sr., Mother; Ethel Mae Smith Vaughn, and Son-in-law; Winston Kight.
The Family will receive friends on Friday, April 12th, 2024, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, from 6:00PM until 9:00PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, at Rocky Creek Holiness Church in Broxton, GA, at 2:00PM with Rev. Allen Peacock, and Rev. C.A. Hulett and Rev.Timothy Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Creek Holiness Church Cemetery.
