Willard Carver

Willard Carver, age 73, of Broxton, GA passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2014, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Carver was born on October 7, 1941 in Douglas, GA to the late Johnnie Carver and Bessie Mae Day Carver. Survivors include: his daughter, Nene Carver Pope of Statesboro, GA; son, Jonathan Carver of Macon, GA; two stepdaughters, Marti (Jamie) Vaughn and Dashia (Duane) Kirby both of Douglas, GA; brother, Cecil Carver of Broxton, GA; sister, Geneva C. Soloman of Columbus, GA; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Carver. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at the Community Mausoleum in the Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Floyd Musgrove officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
