Waunell Sweat Hanner

Waunell Sweat Hanner, age 81, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Hanner was born on September 7, 1933, in Douglas, GA to the late Tim Mancil and Estelle Wright Mancil.
Survivors include: her daughter, Lois Waunell (Ricky) McMillan of Douglas, GA; six sons, Joe (Linda) Sweat, Billy (Helen) Sweat, Carl (Wanda) Sweat, John (Brenda) Sweat, Jimmy Sweat all of Douglas, GA and James (Ann) Sweat of Nicholls, GA; two sisters, Catherine Gates of Cana, VA and Faye Chaney of Nicholls, GA; eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Douglas Christian Fellowship with Rev. Edgar Musgrove and Rev. Matthew McEachern officiating. Interment will follow at Arna Church Cemetery. Music is furnished for the service by Sheila Fender "My Robe Of White" and Congregation "Amazing Grace" with Bonnie Musgrove playing the piano . Active Pallbearers are: Walter Sweat, Jason Sweat, Dan Gates, Darrell Davis, Jeff Hodge, Adam Spivey, and Ken West. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
