Shirley Marie Carver

Shirley Marie Carver, age 86, of Douglas, GA passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Carver was born on March 8, 1930, in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Peter Hochadel and Ruth Ferrel Hochadel. Survivors include: her four sons, Richard Carver, Sr. of Douglas, GA, Kevin Lewis of Warner Robins, GA, Robert Lewis of Niagara Falls, NY, and James Lewis of Niagara Falls, NY; brother, Robert Hochadel of Niagara Falls, NY; sister, Theresa Hochadel of Niagara Falls, NY; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by husband, Jed "Bud" Carver. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Paul O'Connell officiating. Interment will follow at Satilla Memorial Gardens. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
